SCENT
Until now, perfume has always come in a bottle,
is sprayed onto the neck and wrists
and smells
of flowers or memories of the past. Now all
that’s about to change - courtesy of the students
of the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Fashion
Department.
Perfume in the form of a pair of knickers? It might just be possible...
Clockwise from top:
The winner: The poetic fragrance tattoo from Emily Pierlot. Perfumed mints from
Stefanie d’Heygere. Iscent, from Six. Perfume your hair, Tugçe Ozocak. A package
that reacts to your body temperature, Alexandra Verschueren.

FANCY A BIT OF
SKIRT?
Even the very first pieces of work produced by Fashion
Academy students are worthy of being museum pieces...
Jules Wright :
“Close inspection of these extraordinary studies reveals
the depth and talent of the
young designers at the very
beginning of their careers. Not yet graduates, these first
steps explain the reputation of one of the world’s most
respected Fashion Schools.”
HAIR
SPRAY
A unique opportunity for Antwerp Academy students to see Their artwork displayed on 100.000 cans of Elnett...
The challenge
The artwork submitted should contain the following elements: Hair Style, Woman, Dress, and Glamour. Only six colours can be used (in addition to the gold on the bottle itself). White is not allowed. The drawing will be printed directly onto the golden background of the can, and must be designed to fit the available space. Students have been provided with a technical document in which the colours and available space have been explained.
The result
Eight wonderful, creative designs for Elnett. Hairspray, anyone?
